Welcome to Century Oak Co. By using our website, submitting an inquiry, approving a quote, placing an order, or purchasing from us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
About Century Oak Co.
Century Oak Co. is a family-run woodworking business specializing in custom furniture, cabinetry, doors, trim work, and handcrafted pieces made with care, precision, and a deep appreciation for old-world design, authentic materials, and solid wood construction.
Website Use
The content on this website is provided for general informational purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or use any website content, photography, designs, text, branding, or project images without written permission from Century Oak Co.
Quotes and Estimates
Quotes are based on the information available at the time they are prepared. Pricing may change if the project scope, dimensions, materials, finish selections, delivery requirements, installation needs, or design details change.
A quote does not guarantee production until it is approved and any required deposit or payment has been received.
Custom Work
Many Century Oak Co. pieces are custom, made-to-order, or built specifically for a client’s space, preferences, dimensions, or material selections. Because of this, natural variation and handcrafted character are part of the finished work.
Reclaimed, vintage, antique, and solid wood materials may include variations in color, grain, knots, checking, nail holes, saw marks, mineral streaks, texture, patina, or other signs of age and character. These are not considered defects unless they affect the agreed-upon structure or function of the piece.
Design Approval
Customers are responsible for reviewing and approving project details, including dimensions, materials, finishes, drawings, renderings, layouts, and written specifications when provided.
Once approval is given, changes may affect cost, timeline, material availability, and production schedule.
Deposits and Payment
Custom orders may require a deposit before design work, material sourcing, or production begins. Payment schedules will be outlined in the estimate, invoice, or project agreement.
Final payment may be required before delivery, pickup, installation, or release of the finished piece unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Changes to Orders
Change requests will be reviewed case by case. Changes may result in additional costs, revised timelines, or design adjustments. Century Oak Co. reserves the right to decline changes that are not practical, structurally appropriate, or possible once work has begun.
Cancellations
Because custom projects require design time, planning, material sourcing, and shop scheduling, cancellations may be limited once an order is approved.
Deposits may be non-refundable once design work has begun, materials have been purchased, or production has started. Any cancellation request must be submitted in writing.
Measurements and Site Conditions
For built-ins, cabinetry, doors, trim, or installation-based work, customers are responsible for providing accurate site access and communicating any conditions that may affect the project. If Century Oak Co. performs measurements, customers must still disclose relevant site conditions, construction changes, uneven surfaces, hidden obstructions, or other issues that may affect installation.
Century Oak Co. is not responsible for delays or added costs caused by inaccurate information, site changes, inaccessible spaces, unfinished construction, or conditions outside our control.
Delivery, Pickup, and Installation
Delivery, pickup, and installation terms will be discussed as part of the project. Additional charges may apply for delivery, stairs, difficult access, return trips, storage, rescheduling, or installation complications caused by site conditions.
Care and Maintenance
Solid wood and reclaimed wood are natural materials that may expand, contract, shift, or develop minor movement over time due to humidity, temperature, sunlight, and use. Customers are responsible for maintaining a stable indoor environment and following any care instructions provided.
Photography and Portfolio Use
Unless a customer requests otherwise in writing, Century Oak Co. may photograph completed work and use those images for portfolio, website, social media, marketing, or promotional purposes. Personal customer information will not be shared without permission.
Limited Workmanship Commitment
Century Oak Co. takes pride in careful craftsmanship and solid construction. If there is a workmanship issue, please contact us promptly so we can review the concern. Resolution may include repair, adjustment, replacement of a component, or another reasonable remedy at our discretion.
This does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, improper cleaning, environmental damage, water damage, extreme humidity or dryness, unauthorized modifications, installation by others, or natural characteristics of wood and reclaimed materials.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Century Oak Co. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages related to website use, project delays, material variation, delivery issues, or product use. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
